Steel X does not collect any personal data. We do not require an account, email address, name or any other personal information to use the app.
All data you create in Steel X — including sessions, inventory items, measurements and notes — is stored exclusively on your device using local storage. No data is transmitted to our servers or any third-party servers.
Steel X requests camera access for two features: AI tube counting and label OCR scanning. Camera data is processed entirely on your device using Apple's built-in Vision framework. No images or camera data are transmitted, stored remotely or shared with any third party.
Steel X does not use any analytics services, tracking pixels, advertising SDKs or fingerprinting technologies. We do not track how you use the app.
Steel X does not integrate with any third-party services that collect data. The app uses Apple's StoreKit for in-app purchases, which is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
Steel X contains no advertising of any kind.
We do not sell, rent, trade or share any user data with any third party, because we do not collect any user data.
When you export session data to Excel (.xlsx), the file is generated locally on your device. Sharing is initiated by you through the iOS share sheet. We have no access to exported files.
You can delete all data at any time within the app via Settings → Clear All Data. You can also delete the app to remove all stored data. See our Data Deletion page for details.
Steel X is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.
As a German company, we comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Since Steel X does not collect personal data, most GDPR provisions relating to data processing do not apply. You have the right to request information about any data we hold — the answer is: none.
