Steel X is a digital aid tool. All measurements, counts and calculations should be verified with calibrated physical instruments before being used for any critical purpose.
The OD/ID/WT measurement tool uses your phone screen as a reference ruler. Accuracy depends on device calibration, how the phone is held relative to the tube, and alignment of the measurement lines. Results are approximations and may vary from actual dimensions.
The AI counting feature uses image recognition to detect circular cross-sections in tube bundles. Accuracy depends on lighting, camera angle, tube arrangement, surface reflections and bundle size. The count is an estimate and must be verified manually.
Weight calculations use the standard formula: π/4 × (OD² − ID²) × density × length. Results depend on the accuracy of input values and the selected material density. Actual weights may vary due to manufacturing tolerances and material variations. Do not use calculated weights as certified weights for trade or compliance.
The label scanning feature uses optical character recognition. Accuracy depends on label condition, print quality, lighting and camera focus. Always verify scanned data against the physical label.
Steel X is not a certified measuring instrument. It is not calibrated, certified or traceable to any measurement standard. Do not use Steel X as a replacement for certified measuring equipment where certified measurements are required.
